I kind of like doing this monthly recap. I’ll fall short on some months, but it’s nice to look back. I was recently dusting my nightstand, and got into reading my daily journal I did last year (on and off). I was reading last February and the weather is completely different from this year. But that got me thinking how it was nice to have something to reference back on (beside photos).
Somehow February felt very long and short at the same time.
I barely had any anxiety, especially since I had one every other day in January.
I had this mole that was bothering me removed. I’m very grateful that it was benign. What a bummer, because it was one of my favorite moles (it was my biggest one and I always liked it – it was on my collarbone). But better safe than sorry.
It’s been storming like crazy (yes, it’s still going on in March). I’ve never seen weather like this in my 7 years of living in the Bay. Our basement is flooding. We know what was causing the issue, but it hasn’t stopped raining for more than a few days for us to fix the problem. We lost power for more than 48 hours. We decided to stay at a hotel for one night to get a warm and clean night sleep. I’m glad there were no food wasted, but sad that the fence has to get fixed.
My mom, sister, and her family came to visit and stayed with me. I got to cook for them, which I feel like I rarely get the chance to cook for my family. I do want to start cooking more for my parents and bring more diverse cuisine into their life. I got to spend a little time with them, but not as much as I would like – we really had to address the flood issue before the next storm happens.
And although there has been more bad days than good days, the good days actually outweighs the bad because the good days were really amazing. February 1st and 14th was very special ♥
