This is more like an extension of January 2023 Favorites as I completely forgot to include some more items, but fear not – better late than never 😉 Beside being a shorter month, this month felt like it flew by and at times, it also went by very slow. Without further ado, let’s get to the favorites!
I can’t believe I forgot to include this in January Favorites. P got us a bidet as a communal Christmas gift and it’s been an amazing, daily use item. I was skeptical at first, since it would run cold water (we didn’t buy an electric one nor did we run the hot water line to it), but surprisingly with the pressure – it doesn’t feel bad/cold at all. I cannot recommend it enough. I caught a stomach bug (or it can be due to catching Covid in January) and anyone that ever caught a stomach bug knows how often you use the restroom. This literally saved my behind! The one we chose has two settings – one for the behind, and one for the feminine hole. You can also adjust the pressure manually. What made P pull the trigger on finally purchasing a bidet? One review questioned “If a bird pooped on your arm, will you just use a tissue and wipe or will you use water too?”
2. Shark WANDVAC Handheld Vacuum
When I first met P, he was living on a boat with a older model Shark Vacuum. As a matter of fact, he was using the vacuum like a Shop-Vac. Shop-Vac is a vacuum you would use for renovation/demolition – it’s heavy duty and built to use for home improvement projects. That’s when I fell in love with Shark and knew they were reliable. When we moved into our home, one of the first thing we bought was a UltraLight Corded Stick Vacuum from Costco. That’s been with us for 2 years now, and no complaints. I am absolutely in love with it. I’ve been looking into getting a cordless handheld vacuum to pick up crumbs from the table, the little specs of spices in the spice drawers, dust that’s around the house, and to clean the car. There are many brands out there, but I had my eyes on Shark since I knew they are reliable. It comes with two additional heads (duster crevice tool and multi-surface pet tool). I probably use the handheld vacuum every other day, and it’s super easy to dispose the dust/trash. One button and you don’t even need to touch the dust bin (which I hate doing). I like how it has a “home” aka the charging dock to go back to. I keep it on the counter on my kitchen, and it’s not even an eye sore. We got ours at Costco in the color Graphite, but linked here on Amazon.
3. Makeup By Mario – SurrealSkin™ Liquid Foundation
Okay, hear me out. I barely wear makeup (maybe twice a month), and I haven’t worn liquid foundation in YEARS. I totally thought I was not going to go back to it since I like the look and feel of power foundation (I put it on lightly and it has a natural look/feel). I was watching @darylanndenner Instagram stories and I immediately noticed she had a different foundation on and it looked GOOD. I happened to have a gift card from Sephora for years now, which I thought I was never going to use because I don’t buy makeup anymore. I decided to go into the store to find my perfect match, and I did. I’m in the shade 9W and guess what – I only need one pump for the whole face!. I’ve worn it twice now, and I’m enjoying it so far. It makes my skin look very dewy/glowy. If you’re in the market for a liquid foundation, highly recommend.
I have a cabinet light that I wanted to put up underneath the kitchen cabinets. This would bring more light for the prep area, and great for filming. The light isn’t being hardwire and plugs into an outlet, so I wanted the power cord to be the most incognito as it could be. I first used command hooks, but that didn’t stick for too long. P recommend cable mount ties. I was confused as I never heard/seen it before. I am very pleased and surprised how well it works. This item is niche, but sure comes in handy for situations like this.
Cable tie mounts making the list – nice!
