I want to disclose that this is my honest review and thoughts. This isn’t sponsored, gifted, or an ad.
But HexClad, if you ever want to work with me – my doors are open 😉
After throwing out numerous of my cookware throughout the years, I finally thought it’s time to invest in some nice pots and pans. I was down to 2 non-stick pans and they were losing their non-stick coating. I also was hugely disappointed in the Our Place Always Pan (which I wrote a honest review blog post). After many thorough research, I thought I’d give HexClad a try… and boy, I am so happy that I did.
I purchased the cookware in June 2022. They are quite pricey. I got them from Costco, which they only carry at the events. You can find the event schedule here. The sets that are sold at Costco are also commercial grade. I have yet to find out what’s the difference of the commercial grade vs non-commercial, beside this statement here:
“Hexclad Hybrid Commercial Cookware is our strongest, heaviest duty line of cookware. It has been designed to hold up to the rigors of a commercial kitchen. We have designed a line of cookware that will keep performing to the standards of the professional chef or a home cook.”
For the pan set, I paid $350. (includes 3 pans + 1 wok, and 3 lids. The largest pan lid also fits the wok).
For the pot set, I paid $300 (includes 3 pots + the lids).
A total of $650, which I don’t think you can get a better deal anywhere else. On the HexClad commercial website, it would cost over $1K and you would need a restaurant merchant ID. Highly recommend looking at the Costco’s HexClad schedule and get it from there. You can also see the magic of the cookware in person – There’s usually a person who is cooking and cleaning them at the event stands!
It’s been 6 months now, and I’m still obsessed with it. If there’s any chance that I no longer like them, I’ll be sure to update this blog post.
Here’s why I ended up choosing HexClad over any other cookware brands:
- I really wanted my pan and pots to be non-stick, but I was torn because I am also tired of non-stick pans not lasting long. I know stainless steel or cast iron will last forever – but I can’t fathom the thought of food sticking and being hard to clean, especially since I cook almost every day. This leads to why HexClad was on top of my list. Their patented hybrid technology involves stainless steel hexagon pattern protecting the non-stick coating. Bottom line – it’s nonstick and durable. You can find more information on their technology/science behind their cookware here.
- HexClad offers different cookware options and sizes, including the wok! Other brands didn’t have a wok option or specific pans/pots.
- I love the glass lid so I can see how’s the cooking doing without letting the steam escape.
- I can use metal utensils! For the most part, I already cook with silicone or wood utensils. But there are instances where I would use metal such as my metal soup scooper or whisk (I have a silicone whisk but the silicone doesn’t last long. If you have any whisk recommendation – please let me know!)
- It’s dishwasher safe and the handle doesn’t get hot!
- One of my favorite feature is that it’s also oven safe up to 500°F.
I have yet to find any dislikes on the HexClad, beside probably the price. BUT it’s literally worth every penny.
